Fantasy Football Weekly Recap - Week 9

In the world of football, the Heidi game will forever live in infamy as NBC made the dubious decision to stop coverage of a Oakland Raiders-New York Jets game for a pre-scheduled showing of Heidi. The Raiders scored 14 points in the last 65 seconds to win the game, while millions of viewers were stuck watching Heidi frolic in the hills. How has football not learned from this mistake?

Cowboys mercifully reach bye week

For a few weeks now, there has been an emphasis on how the Cowboys will be healthy, will be “back” after the bye week. After today’s thrashing at the hands of the Giants (and our own quarterbacks), the Cowboys have mercilessly reached the off week at 5-4.

Giants Lay a Beat Down on the Cowboys 35-14

Although they actually play in New Jersey, it didn’t really matter where this game was played as the Cowboys didn’t put up much resistance to the defending champion New York Giants who rolled over a hapless Dallas team 35-14.

My commentary on the Cowboys 35-14 loss to the Gaints

The Cowboy’s were destroyed by the Giants. The first order of business for the Cowboys is to get rid of Brad Johnson. He should have hung up his cleats a couple of seasons ago

Eagles triumph over Seahawks

The Phillies are World Champions of baseball!!!! Oh, but wait, there are other sports being played still. One team still playing is the Eagles, who triumphed against the Seahawks Sunday after a rough first quarter.

Giants prove superiority by routing Cowboys

After being “manhandled” by the Giants, the Cowboys know they have no margin of error the rest of the season. The 35-14 spanking the New York Giants gave Dallas on Sunday reinforced what we already knew.

Eagles Win Out West; Top Seahawks 26-7

The Philadelphia Eagles headed into Seattle on a two-game win streak, looking to quiet the crowd at Quest Field, and end the Seahawks chances of taking the division for the fifth straight time. The Seahawks took their first play from scrimmage 90 yards on a touchdown pass from backup QB Seneca Wallace to WR Koren Robinson. Unfortunately for Seattle, that was all they could muster for the entire game

Call Him Kerosene

Brooks Bollinger’s first attempt in relief of Brad Johnson was a flat-footed, unsure throw that was about 8 yards underthrown and picked off. Brandon Jacobs rototilled in from the 12 to make it 28-7, Giants

Pierce Strips T.O.

The little drive the Cowboys were mounting that was destined to end in points? It didn’t. Antonio Pierce just came up with a powerful rip-out strip on TO after Owens caught a little slant over the middle on third down

Johnson Stays In

Despite all the warmup tosses Brooks Bollinger threw, when the Cowboys just recovered a Giants fumble at the Giant 16, Johnson comes out as quarterback.
